Nonetheless, I decided that I will write every time I have time to de-stress myself and just deal with the harsh realities of life... of everyday life.
Let me do a background check on myself (for you...)
1. I am a registered nurse.
2. Though I am an RN, somehow I want to teach. [elementary more specifically, i hate high school drama]
3. I teach music. (yay!)
4. My boss is not a Filipino. [no racism here. just culture issues.]
5. I usually try my best to be kind.
HAPPY PEPPERO DAY! (yesterday)
Thank you James!! First pepero for this year. ^^
So!! today was a normal tuesday.
Yesterday however, we had auditions for dance club. I asked teacher Louise and Haidee to judge with me for the dance. Honestly, there were 2 guys who didn't make the cut. But what the heck! They had 73%... so i just decided to let them join since they looked like they were really interested but were REALLYYYY ashamed to join because they didn't know any moves whatsoever (lol at their worm dance). I must say they have potential. Every kid has potential AS LONG AS they themselves believe that they can do it. (Our current choir conductor during our highschool days sucked big time when it comes to singing!! SERIOUSLY out of tune but I must say with perseverance he got to where he is now. He didn't even take professional voice lessons!!)
There was one girl who was really good with dancing. Though, teacher Louise said that she was a little stiff; I gave her the highest grade on my score chart (no one got perfect though, sadly). I kinda expected her to be good at some level. I wonder what's going on with all their drama, girls... i don't understand (mind you, I'm a girl). Somehow, they can't form a group!! Which is actually sad AND lame... well, i know, they're highschool, and when you're a teenager, EVERYTHING YOU DO, THINK, ACT, you think THEY ARE ALL RIGHT!! let me repeat, YOU THINK. Like I said, I hate high school drama. In tagalog, we call it "MASYADONG MABABAW NA RASON." :p
And there was again that one group who performed for 2 minutes where I wasn't even actually able to see everyone's performance well since they were too crowded. They should've fixed their formation or something. Hmmm... The 2 girls, (different team) were quite something. I'm not sure if "something" is a positive one or a negative one. Kept on laughing for no reason and asked for a second chance to perform better. ON AUDITIONS, YOU SHOULD PERFORM YOUR BEST -quoted from teacher Haidee. hehe
The one solo guy I must say, memorized the enitre steps (quite long) but didn't execute it that well, I wanted him to make it a little more like emphasized or exaggerated. The stage was really wide, he should have used it more. Moved more. Flexed his arms more. Or something. His performance was still better than the worm dancers though. teehee
Anyways, I was happy the kids actually came up with steps and did their own choreography. And not to mention, the GUTS to audition. ^___^
Next stop: DRAMA CLUB! Auditions tomorrow. =) i'll keep you posted!
*The kids will kill me, if they'll know that i called them kids. :p meh. i don't care. lol
